Starling Aerospace will present a new seat range at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), to be held in Hamburg, Germany, on 14-16 April.
The SA4000 is a next-generation economy-class seat designed around weight efficiency, comfort, durability and simplified maintenance.
The SA5000 is a dual club-style platform intended for corporate and premium-class cabins. It features in-house engineered modular architecture, connectivity integration and bespoke comfort options.
In addition, Starling is developing the SA6000, a next-generation VIP seating solution for private jets. This fully customisable model will feature 357° rotation, handcrafted luxury materials, integrated smart controls and flexible configuration options.
The company will exhibit in Hall 7 at AIX. The new seat range has been engineered for cross-platform use, compatible with Airbus, Boeing, Cessna and Embraer cabin geometries, as well as other private jet types.
Coralie Wigg, co-founder and director of Starling Aerospace, said: “At AIX, we are not simply launching new seats, we are showcasing our expertise in creating unique and scalable seating architecture, that’s suitable for economy layouts, corporate cabins and ultra-luxury VIP aircraft. Our new SA seat family is designed, engineered and certificated to meet the evolving expectations of airlines, corporate operators, and private jet customers alike and we can’t wait to invite show visitors to try them out. The new seats are an extension to our range of bespoke cabin monuments, all of which are engineered for reliability and durability.”
In other news, Starling has achieved approved supplier status with Boeing. Starling already holds approvals to design, engineer, manufacture and certify interior monuments for Boeing commercial platforms.
On the Boeing supplier approval, Wigg said: “Achieving approved supplier status from Boeing not only underscores our engineering rigour, manufacturing quality and deep understanding of its cabin requirements, but also validates Starling’s commitment to delivering world-class cabin interiors for next-generation Boeing aircraft.”
Starling was recently contracted to deliver luxury seat modifications across a major airline’s Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 long-haul fleet. The project, running until 2030, will also see Starling handle the design, manufacture and certification of new monuments across the B787 fleet, working in close association with Boeing.
