Leather specialist Garrett Leather has unveiled a collection of 20 premium leathers for Autumn (Fall) 2020. The company said the soft palette of the Quietude collection is intended to draw attention to the wonder of the season and provide a sense of harmony and awareness.
Garrett Leather further said that this time of year is traditionally a time of harvest, but also a time to slow down and reflect on the passing year. While often portrayed with orange pumpkins and other deeply saturated colours, the company noted the season brings a quality of light that is soft, warm and soothing. It referenced quiet, misty, pale-pink mornings; clear-blue evening skies; and the soft, muted greys and browns of fallen leaves.
Quietude includes three different product lines. Nine contemporary Newport Club colours make their debut with an entirely new tannage. These hides are designed to have an incredibly soft hand and luxurious weight. Each hide is delicately hand-padded to give the hills and valleys of the natural grain a tipped subtle sheen that reflects light beautifully. In addition, the collection includes nine new soothing hues of full-grain Native leather, inspired by the eternal elements of the sea, sky and shore. The collection is rounded out with two new colours of Distressed, a timeless, well-worn, full-grain leather.
All 20 Quietude colours are Greenguard-certified and available for shipment within two business days of purchase.
