Airways Aviation has announced the launch of AMELIA (Airways Management Education & Learning Innovation Academy), a new digital learning platform designed to further empower students and staff across the Airways Aviation network worldwide.
AMELIA is designed to facilitate and enhance the way aviation training and professional development are delivered, offering flexible, accessible and engaging online learning. The platform is designed to connect learners across Airways Aviation campuses around the world, ensuring they can study various aviation theory courses and subjects irrespective of their geographical location and time zone.
Airways Aviation says that AMELIA gives students the freedom to study on their own time schedule, helping to make aviation training more accessible. The company believes that this scalable model of learning will benefit those who may not have the means to travel or have limited time due to other commitments in support education and training opportunities for aspiring aviation industry career enthusiasts.
AMELIA provides students with access to a wide range of resources, including a growing number of interactive modules, recorded sessions, and real-time support. The platform is designed to complement existing classroom and simulator training, providing a modern, blended learning experience that strengthens knowledge retention and operational readiness.
“AMELIA creates a more accessible pathway to an aviation career by giving greater opportunities to those who cannot travel or have limited time to commit week to week,” says Janet Dalby, Airways Aviation COO/CEO, Australasia & Pacific. “As a digital platform that can be accessed anywhere, AMELIA is highly scalable, allowing us to extend quality training to a wide audience. Our vision is to provide universal access, so every aspiring aviator has a fair and equal opportunity to learn.”
“We strongly believe the education and training of our youth is an essential pathway to self-determination and poverty alleviation,” adds Romy Hawatt, founder and chairman, Airways Aviation. “Apart from the natural commercial aspects, one of the key objectives of the AMELIA platform was to create the platform to inspire, deliver and support foundational aviation education and training to as many underprivileged youth in cities, towns and remote communities as possible.”
