Duncan Aviation has completed an exterior paint project on a Gulfstream GIV at its facility in Provo, Utah, with a design drawing on the visual styling of high-performance sports cars.
Senior lead designer Molly Pfeiffer worked with the aircraft’s owner, who wanted a scheme inspired by luxury sports cars. After developing several concepts, the team produced a striped design intended to convey forward motion.
The lower portion of the aircraft is finished in white, while angled stripes run from the nose towards the tail along the upper fuselage. The colour is concentrated along the upper section, with tones drawn from performance vehicle palettes.
The completed scheme is the result of a collaboration between the owner and Duncan Aviation’s design team, translating styling cues from the automotive sector into an aircraft livery.
