Delos, a US manufacturer of custom carpets and rugs, has launched the Verge Design Series, a collection of 15 tonal carpet designs intended for interior applications including on private jets.
For private aviation applications, Delos said it can tuft carpets to exact templates, removing the need to purchase entire rolls, reducing material waste and creating a precise fit for customised interiors.
Verge combines 86% New Zealand wool with 14% Econyl regenerated nylon. According to Delos, the fibre blend is engineered to create a striae effect while balancing the natural variation of wool with the colour consistency of nylon. Two pile weights are available: Plush, and Refined, a lower-profile option the company says is suited to thresholds, insets and private aviation.

Custom shapes – from rectangles and ovals to geometric and free-form contours – are available without “the typical upcharge”, Delos said, adding that it can also work with designers to develop entirely custom shapes. Rugs can be tufted in sizes up to 13ft 6in x 60ft or 15ft 6in x 40ft, with hand-sewn seams available for larger installations.
Verge uses a cut, loop and 80% tip shear construction, which Delos said creates depth, subtle flecking and movement in the pile. Designs in the series include Cadence, Surge, Basalt, Drift and Lilt. The patterns are inspired by natural landscapes, erosion, water, foliage and shifting light.
The 15 designs and colourways are interchangeable. For projects requiring a more specific palette, Delos offers 144 New Zealand wool colours and 144 Econyl nylon colours, as well as dye-to-match capability using ARS poms, Pantone colours, paint swatches or fabrics. Designers can also work with Delos to develop custom patterns using Verge’s tonal construction.
Verge is robotically tufted and hand-finished in the USA. Delos said further design options will be added to the series over time.
