Ruag MRO International has completed its first Embraer Legacy 500 repainting project at its facility at Munich-Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany.

Ruag’s in-house painting specialists worked together with the customer to restyle the livery. The repainting process began by stripping the aircraft of its previous paint layers to achieve optimal coating quality and durable skin protection. The personalised design features multiple dynamic stripes on the fuselage and tail in bold-to-fading shades of black and grey.

The company reports that the project was completed on time, to the customer’s full satisfaction.

“This is our first Legacy 500 exterior,” said Reinhard Imhoff, sales manager for exterior services at Ruag MRO International. “Our highly experienced team has developed a well-deserved reputation for reliability and excellence in aircraft painting and we welcome all aircraft types.”

Ruag MRO International’s service portfolio includes line, base and heavy maintenance checks, cabin interior restyling and refurbishment, avionics and system upgrades, component services, aircraft painting, modifications, pre-purchase inspections, AOG, and support and consulting.

As well as holding Embraer authorised service centre status since 2013, Ruag MRO International is a recognised service centre for Bombardier and certified for the Gulfstream G550.
