F/List’s participation at this year’s NBAA-BACE 2017 – held in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 10-12 – was an indication of its intensified presence in North America. It is the second time the Austrian manufacturer has exhibited at NBAA-BACE.
F/List has strengthened its Canadian and US subsidiaries in 2017. F. List Canada has a new CEO, Mario Lepine, and a new 59,000ft² production plant could commence operation from the fourth quarter of 2017. The site in Laval, Greater Montréal, will include a ‘veneer competence center’ focusing on consulting and production, cabinet production capabilities and aftermarket services. It could employ 100 people by 2020.
Meanwhile, F. List USA has a new key accounts/product support manager and a new sales representative for completions and aftermarket – both recruits are seasoned aviation experts.
One highlight of F/List’s NBAA display was its Heated Stone Flooring – certifiable real stone flooring with integrated heating. The flooring can be set to preset temperatures between 23-33°C (73.4- 91.4°F), and has a minimum construction height of 14.4mm. The company says power consumption is 200W/m² (18.6W/ft²), the product is only “negligibly” heavier than the non-heated version, it is designed to be easy to clean and permanently non-flammable.
