Duncan Aviation has completed an interior refurbishment of a Falcon 7X at its Battle Creek facility, combining the work with a scheduled 2C inspection to minimise additional downtime.
The project marks the first interior refurbishment Duncan Aviation has carried out for the aircraft’s owner, having previously supported the customer with maintenance. The work was timed to coincide with the inspection, taking advantage of the period when the cabin was already disassembled.
The scope covered a partial interior refurbishment, including a full soft goods replacement and a strip and refinish of the cabinetry. Closet interiors and countertops were left unchanged where they remained in good condition.
Lead designer Jilli Sitkiewicz and senior completions and modifications sales rep Tiffany Buschini presented material concepts to the owner, who initially had reservations about proceeding with updates. The design was developed to reflect the owner’s personal preferences and accommodate her growing family.
The completed interior features light, warm-toned materials paired with a newly stained dark veneer to introduce contrast throughout the cabin. The redesigned seats have a slimmer profile, and the carpet incorporates a textured pattern that ties together the colour palette. Upper sidewalls were finished in a textured fabric rather than Ultraleather, and the exterior paint scheme was retained.
Operators planning Falcon 7X inspections can work with Duncan Aviation to incorporate interior upgrades into scheduled maintenance events.
