Delos, a US maker of custom aviation carpets, is launching the Elevated Design Series and the Accelerated Design Series. Together with the Traverse Customizable Aisle Series, which launched in 2023, this trilogy rounds out Delos’ push forward in the private aviation carpet sector. Each of the three series meets specific customer demands.
The Elevated Design Series makes use of Delos having over a decade of experience using cutting-edge robotics to craft high-touch carpets. The Elevated Design Series features 22 designs crafted from luxurious fibres such as silk wool and sustainability-focused Econyl nylon metallics, offering options ranging from subtle cut-and-loop patterns to bold statement designs. The series covers a variety of textures, colourways and price points.
The Accelerated Design Series addresses the aviation market’s demand for customisable carpets delivered quickly, with an emphasis on competitive pricing. The series includes 22 designs that can be customised from 25 in-stock neutral fibres made from 100% New Zealand wool. Delos said the three-week delivery window accommodates even the most challenging quick-turn aviation refurbishments.
“As we developed our newest carpet solutions, I consistently asked ‘What defines luxury?’ for our private aviation customers,” said Leah Phillips, co-founder and design director at Delos. “The four things that were top of mind were luxury fibres, safe integration of metallic accents, custom aisle designs without pattern repeats, and speed of delivery.”
The Traverse Customizable Aisle Series offers 14 aisle pattern options that can be easily recoloured and redesigned to fit specific aircraft layouts, serving as a foundation for fully bespoke designs.
“Unlike licensed collections, which can be restrictive, our approach provides the flexibility designers need to create unique and tailored results,” said Phillips.
Delos has made the Elevated and Accelerated Design Series interchangeable, allowing samples to be reworked with flexible colour choices, fibre options, lead times and budgets. The 6in samples are presented in compact sample boxes, aimed at offering a more convenient and eco-friendly alternative to traditional 12in samples, though larger sizes are available upon request.
