Tray Petty became the new president of Moore & Giles on 20 December 2021. Sackett Wood, the outgoing president, is now chief executive officer. Petty joined the company in 1994 and has held a variety of roles – most recently he was executive vice president.
“To look forward you must first look back,” said Petty. “I’ve learned from some of the best – Sackett Wood and Don Giles – and I thank them both for everything they have done for me personally, and more importantly what they have done for this company. I am excited about the opportunity to lead Moore & Giles as it continues its growth in all aspects of the business.”
In his new role, Petty is to lead, develop and foster a culture of excellence across the company. He will continue to work closely with Wood to push the company into its next era.
“Tray and I have worked alongside each other for 25 years,” said Wood. “There is no-one more qualified or with a better understanding of every facet of our business than Tray. He has a vision for the future and will be a tremendous leader for the company.”
Founded in 1933 in Lynchburg, Virginia, Moore & Giles is dedicated to designing and developing luxurious natural leathers.
