New Forest inspires Garrett Leather range

The New Forest collection

Garrett Leather has unveiled a new collection, New Forest, the result of a collaboration with Mark Berryman Design.

Located in a New Forest studio on the south coast of England, Mark Berryman Design specialises in superyacht interiors.

Mutual curiosity for innovation in colours, patterns and textures steered the design of this collection. It is a homage to the New Forest, and features organic materials designed to bring the serenity of the outdoors inside.

The four lines of the collection – Hawkhill, Bolderwood, Exbury and Keyhaven – are inspired by the glades and ancient woodlands of the New Forest Nature Reserve. Garrett Leather shared that all four lines are made with premium-quality European hides, are sold in full hides averaging 54-57ft², pass IMO flammability requirements for private yachts and may be treated to pass FAR requirements for aviation use.

Hawkhill, a roughout semi-aniline leather, is made in Italy and finished with natural resins. The hides are milled and sanded for texture. Garrett Leather said the reversed natural-grain leather has a soft finish and well-worn appearance. It is recommended for moderate to low traffic areas.

Earthy and layered, Bolderwood is embossed with an organic pattern accentuated by hand-finishing artistry. Garrett Leather said that as a LeatherShield product, Bolderwood has excellent durability and is recommended for all upholstery applications.

Exbury is described as exhibiting a collision of colour and texture, with decadent details and a large-grain pattern. Garrett Leather described Exbury as a durable, semi-aniline leather, recommended for all upholstery applications. It has a hand-tipped, antique finish.

Keyhaven channels the colours and shapes of eroded rocks where fossils have embedded. It has a granular, small-grain pattern and handcrafted finish. Keyhaven is an embossed, semi-aniline leather recommended for all upholstery applications.

The New Forest Collection reflects nature’s palette with serene colours. All 18 Greenguard-certified colours are in-stock and available for immediate shipment.
