New classic cowhide range launched by Townsend Leather

The latest leather range launched by Townsend Leather was designed to have a classic, vintage look and feel that will never go out of style. Manchester Cowhide is aged on the production line to create a special patina, and is suitable for aviation applications.

The aniline-dyed cowhide has a wax finish and a clear protective topcoat. The surface is burnished to highlight the natural look and variation of each hide. A final glaze is applied to provide additional protection and to create a polished look. Along with the traditional chocolate, walnut and caramel brown colourways, the new in-stock collection will also feature burnt orange, navy, grey, teal and burgundy hues. The Manchester in-stock line offers 11 skus that can all be shipped in 2-3 business days.

Townsend Leather has long been known for its custom colour-matching and abstract leather designs, made in the USA; but its new in-stock line brings it back to its roots.

Manchester Cowhide has been used in applications ranging from headboards in The Hotel Californian guest rooms to barstools and banquettes in The Blake Hotel.

Townsend Leather is a third-generation, USA-based family business and manufacturer of upholstery hides and decorative leathers, supplying the residential, hospitality, motorcoach and yachting markets, in addition to corporate, business and commercial aviation. The company prides itself on pushing the boundaries of what is possible from the perspectives of colour, texture, pattern and cutting-edge design and technological opportunities.
