Aircraft Interior Products (AIP) has appointed Rick Richardson as national sales manager. Richardson will be based in Wichita, Kansas, USA, where he will be responsible for managing all sales activities, leading a team in developing new and enhancing existing markets.

“We are very pleased to have Rick Richardson join our team at AIP. His vast background in aircraft interior engineering design and experienced leadership in business development adds to the depth and breadth of our very experienced team,” said Rick Bloomer, AIP’s vice president.

Richardson has 27 years of aviation expertise, serving the industry in various design and engineering roles. He has implemented numerous VIP aircraft completions – both wide-body and narrow-body. His professional experiences include stays at such companies as Bombardier Aerospace, Falcon Jet Corporation and Advent Aerospace, which led to his eventual ownership of R2 Aerospace in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

AIP is a division of CAP Carpet, a flooring company. AIP established its roots in the private aviation business more than 25 years ago, offering carpets, carpet fabrication, fabrics, vinyl floor and galley material, sheepskins and other soft goods used in aircraft interiors. Its sister company, White Oak Custom Carpet, manufactures specialty wool carpets for corporate aircraft clients.
