West Star Aviation GJT awarded for military service support

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) has presented West Star at Grand Junction, Colorado (GJT), with the Patriotic Employer and Statement of Support award. It recognises the company’s support of military service members and their families.

Established in 1972, ESRG recognises employers that support employee service in the military, specifically the National Guard and Reserves. The organisation operates a network of volunteers and 54 field committees across the USA.

This is the first time West Star (GJT) has been recognised for this award. Sean McCracken, a senior avionics tech, nominated West Star and the GJT avionics team for its recent support while being deployed for four months at the beginning of 2022. West Star typically allows an employee two weeks of PTO, with full benefits while on guard duty.

Tyler Gallaher and Jerry Autrey were both recipients of the award at the West Star GJT facility, presented by Lou Brackett of ERSG.
