Abu Dhabi Airports has announced that the fourth Abu Dhabi Air Expo will take place in February 2016 at Al Bateen Executive Airport, and will be held every two years instead of annually.

Several upgrade and refurbishment projects are underway at Al Bateen Executive Airport. A VVIP terminal is under construction, and enhancements are being made to the existing VIP terminal. The airport’s taxiway, airfield and the Sheikh Zayed Terminal will also be upgraded.

“Abu Dhabi Air Expo has become an iconic and must-attend event in the world’s aviation calendar and Al Bateen Executive Airport has been home to three very successful editions,” said Eng. Ahmad Al Haddabi, chief operations officer at Abu Dhabi Airports. “It is only sensible that an event of such a caliber is strengthened with facilities and services that support the growth of this show.”

The third Abu Dhabi Air Expo, held on February 25-27, 2014, attracted 16,900 visitors and 175 exhibitors.
