Rockwell Collins and AMAC Aerospace complete CES to Venue upgrade

Rockwell Collins and AMAC Aerospace have completed a CES to Venue HD CMS/IFE upgrade on a Bombardier Global. The aircraft is now in service.

CES is a legacy Rockwell Collins cabin entertainment system. Rockwell Collins says Venue is a particularly cost-effective cabin upgrade solution for CES-equipped Globals since it utilizes certain cabin components already on the aircraft. “In many cases, there is no need to completely rip out a cabin to bring it up to date with the latest technologies,” said Greg Irmen, vice president and general manager, flight controls and information systems, Rockwell Collins. “Our Venue solution goes beyond today, too, with the flexibility to adapt with new consumer technologies as they come to market.”

“AMAC Aerospace is very happy to have worked with Rockwell Collins on this exciting new Venue system, which by all accounts, has marginalized the downtime necessary for this new system installation,” said Eric Hoegen, sales and key account manager, AMAC Aerospace. “Our client is very happy with the Rockwell Collins Venue system.”
