Lufthansa Technik has chosen Starburst to develop and strengthen ties with innovative startups in the aerospace sector. Starburst provides access to a pool of at least 150 aerospace-focused startups in Europe, and 100 in the USA.
In addition to its established partnerships with universities, research institutes, SMEs, OEMs and aircraft manufacturers, Lufthansa Technik is working toward a strong presence in the startup arena in several predefined technical fields as part of its Open Innovation Network. Those collaborations can take any form, from simple inspiration in terms of new technologies to a complete buy-in.
“We are very happy to welcome Lufthansa Technik to our Starburst ecosystem as we think our startups will find various applications within the product divisions of Lufthansa Technik and together they can create real value-added innovations,” said François Chopard, Starburst founder.
At InnovationDays on June 14-15, 2016, six carefully selected startups pitched their projects to the Lufthansa Technik community.
