Lufthansa Technik has installed split scimitar winglets on a BBJ. The company says the aircraft is the third BBJ in the world to be equipped with these winglets from Aviation Partners Boeing. The new winglets have been on the market since early 2014.

The modification took 10 days. As part of the work, the specialists at Lufthansa Technik’s VIP & Executive Jet Maintenance division reinforced various areas on the inside of the aircraft’s structure, particularly in the wing tanks. They also carried out complex painting tasks. Lufthansa Technik reports that the work was completed on schedule and to the customer’s satisfaction.
