The Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) has certified ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia to perform line and heavy maintenance on Japan-registered Dassault Falcon 2000EX aircraft.
This marks the first time JCAB has approved ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia as an overseas maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organisation.
The Falcon 2000EX is a super-midsize aircraft that ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia said is popular in Japan because of its range and ability to do steep approaches and access short runways.
Japan has a business jet fleet of 81 aircraft, as of the end of 2024, according to Asian Sky Group’s YE 2024 Asia-Pacific Business Jet Fleet Report.

“We see potential in Japan, as it is a sizeable business jet market, and because operators there want to send their aircraft to an OEM-owned MRO organisation that is certified nationally and internationally,” said Ivan Lim, regional VP, Asia, for ExecuJet MRO Services. “We applied for JCAB approval in response to market demand. As more customer queries from Japan come in, we will look to further expand the aircraft types in Japan we can serve.”
Besides Japan, ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia is certified by 15 other regulators including the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia, the US FAA and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
ExecuJet MRO Services is a Dassault factory-owned MRO organisation, so it can carry out maintenance work on behalf of the customer, under manufacturer warranty. ExecuJet’s personnel are internationally certified and have done training with Dassault and other major OEMs. The company provides airframe maintenance, component and engine support and does cabin refurbishments, avionics upgrades, satcom installations and more.
