Brian Barber joins Advent Aerospace as vice president of sales and marketing

Brian Barber has joined Advent Aerospace as its vice president of sales and marketing.

“As part of Advent’s strategic plan to expand its offerings to a broader market beyond VIP completions, it became clear that we needed someone like Brian to lead the way. He is uniquely qualified to assist the Advent management team in identifying new markets for Advent’s composite structures capabilities,” said Steve Jourdenais, president at Advent Aerospace. “We intend to broaden our reach into other areas where lightweight structures are needed, while increasing market share in our existing markets. Brian is the right man for the job.”

Barber’s appointment is effective immediately; he reports directly to Jourdenais. Prior to joining Advent, Barber was vice president of sales and marketing with Lufthansa Technik’s BizJet, responsible for sales of VIP completion, airframe maintenance, modification and refurbishment services to the narrow-body, corporate and commercial aircraft market. While at BizJet, Barber was also tasked to act as vice president, completions.

Barber previously held management, senior management and executive positions with Heath Tecna Aerospace, Aviall Engine Shop, Pratt & Whitney and AAR. He has more than 25 years of aviation experience, and is a member of NBAA, ACPC, MRO and APCS. He has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Louisiana Tech University.

“Advent’s two divisions, Jormac Aerospace and Cabin Innovations, are the best at what they do in the completions industry,” said Barber. “The management team is comprised of dedicated people that take great pride in what they do. I see enormous potential here, and I am very excited to be a part of where Advent is going.”
