A privately owned B737-800 has returned to service following a heavy base maintenance check and various cabin modifications by AMAC Aerospace in Basel, Switzerland. The work included the installation of a tail-mounted external camera, the replacement of HD monitors with 4K monitors, and the installation of a 4K-capable Flight Information System. The modifications were performed during scheduled maintenance to avoid extra ground time.

In other news, AMAC Aerospace Switzerland has expanded its maintenance approvals with Part 145 rating for the A310 series. At the end of 2015, AMAC received Part 145 maintenance approval for A340-500/-600 types. “This will give us the opportunity to extend our range of services, particularly maintenance checks, to commercial, airline and VIP A310 operators worldwide,” said Eric Hoegen, sales and key account manager at AMAC Aerospace Switzerland.
