AMAC Aerospace Group of Companies has announced a series of new approvals secured, contracts signed and increasing demand across a wide range of maintenance, completion and modification services.
Three 8C inspections on Bombardier Global Express
The company has said that it is seeing more and more Bombardier aircraft entering its hangars in Basel and it is pleased to report an increase of 25% in Bombardier maintenance projects compared to 2025.
It is due to perform its third 8C check on a Bombardier Global Express this year, which will mark the first time the company has completed three such major inspections within a single year on Bombardier aircraft. AMAC Aerospace says that this accomplishment strengthens its experience in carrying out major checks on Bombardier Global aircraft, an area in which it is expanding alongside its additional Bombardier services, including refurbishments, modifications and PPIs.
Contract signed for medevac installations
AMAC Aerospace has also signed a new contract for a medevac installation on a Bombardier Challenger aircraft, scheduled to arrive at the beginning of 2027. With the client’s appreciation towards AMAC Aerospace’s services, this can be followed up with a second project in 2028. In addition to the medevac installation, the aircraft will also be equipped with a Gogo FDX high-speed connectivity system, which is another highly requested feature.
This dual configuration is very popular among Bombardier Challenger operators, and the company is receiving further interest from other clients seeking similar solutions.
First Gogo FDX connectivity installation on Bombardier Global 5000
Connectivity installations remain one of the company’s most requested modification services, with particularly strong demand for Gogo FDX, especially from Airbus customers. Currently, AMAC Aerospace has an ACJ 319 undergoing installation, and it previously became the first company to install the system on a Bombardier Global 5000. Further Gogo FDX contracts are signed on narrow-body aircraft for the next three months, and several further opportunities remain under discussion.
Continued activity in self-defence systems
Self-defence continues to remain a priority. Since 2016, AMAC Aerospace has successfully equipped nine aircraft with self-defence solutions. Earlier this year, it completed an installation on an ACJ 330, while two additional Bombardier Challengers are in progress.
The company says that it continues to see strong demand from customers requiring both new supplemental type certificates (STCs) and the implementation of existing STCs.
Full-scale cabin mock-ups return to completion projects
AMAC Aerospace says that it has observed a renewed interest in full-scale cabin mock-ups. The company has the capability to design and build these mock-ups in-house, and it has seen an increase in customer requests for this service compared to recent years.
Although advanced digital visualisation tools remain popular, some customers prefer to experience their future cabin interiors through a full-scale mock-up. This allows them to assess layouts, validate dimensions, and experience the cabin environment at full scale before making final design decisions.
Approval for Boeing BBJ in Auch, France
In August 2026, AMAC Aerospace’s sister company, JCB Aero, located in Auch near Toulouse, France, received Part 145 Boeing approval. With the already established Airbus Part 145 approval since the launch of MRO services in 2024, the company is pleased to now be able to welcome Boeing aircraft as well.
This approval covers Base and Line Maintenance on Boeing B737 aircraft, including the B737-600, B737-700, B737-800 and B737-900 variants, and marks another milestone in the expansion of AMAC Aerospace Group of Companies capabilities.
