Ruag Aviation is on a demo tour with the Dornier 228 in Latin America. The schedule involves visiting ten countries in 56 days, from February 29 to April 10, covering more than 40,000km. The Dornier 228 has been outfitted with a variety of equipment for the tour, to give potential customers first-hand experience of the various configurations on offer.
“During the tour we’re expecting important visits from local airlines, mining companies and representatives from various armed forces and governmental entities,” said Carlos Salamanca, sales manager at Ruag Aviation.
Stops on the tour include Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. The Dornier 228 will be in Cartagena, Colombia, for the Caribbean Basin Coastal Surveillance and Maritime Security Summit (CABSEC) and South American Security (SAMSEC) Summit security conferences, and in Santiago, Chile, for the International Air & Space Fair (FIDAE).
