Cirrus Aircraft’s single-engine personal jet, the Vision Jet, has been delivered to its first customer in Europe following type certification by EASA.

The aircraft got its FAA type certificate in October of 2016 and its production certificate earlier in May 2017. It has also received approval from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) in Australia. Deliveries began in December 2016 – more than 600 production positions have been reserved.

“The EASA validation of the Vision Jet Type Certificate is a testament to the exceptional work and cooperation between the EASA, FAA and Cirrus Aircraft teams,” said Pat Waddick, president of innovation and operations, Cirrus Aircraft.

“The technical expertise of all parties involved made this a fine example of how the bilateral validation agreement between the USA and EU can succeed.”
