Honda Aircraft Company revealed a new upgraded aircraft, the HondaJet Elite, during a special hangar event immediately preceding the 2018 EBACE show in Geneva, Switzerland.
The manufacturer understandably chose to highlight the HondaJet Elite’s extended range of an additional 17% (+396km), as well as its newly developed noise-attenuating inlet structure that lines each engine and greatly reduces high-frequency noise to enhance cabin quietness, during the unveiling.
It was also keen to draw attention to the new aircraft’s advanced avionics system, which incorporates additional performance management functions for optimum flight planning and automatic stability and protection functions to enhance safety of flight.
However, the aircraft also features some exciting new interior goodies, too. These include a Bongiovi Audio System available as an option. Described as an “industry-first speaker-less in-cabin sound system”, it provides an immersive audio experience throughout the entire cabin. Further new interior equipment options include a belted lavatory, a galley with coffee brewer, and two-toned executive leather seats.
Three new exterior colors are also available via the optional Signature Paint Scheme: Ice Blue; Ruby Red; and Monarch Orange.
The aircraft, which is type-certified by the FAA and EASA, was on display to the public for the first time at EBACE from May 28-31.
