Satcom Direct (SD) is to acquire TrueNorth Avionics, a purchase that SD says will expand its ability to provide advanced communications systems for business aviation aircraft. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Founded in 2006, TrueNorth Avionics designs, develops and manufactures satellite communications solutions for business jets and avionics OEMs. Its latest product, the Optelity family of cabin communications systems, delivers voice, fax and wi-fi solutions that enable connectivity for mobile devices.
