New router technologies offered by Honeywell

Honeywell has unveiled the new CNX-900 Cabin Network Router and a software upgrade for the CNX-200 Cabin Network Router. Both routers are supported by Honeywell’s latest GoDirect routing software, which is designed to maximize onboard wi-fi bandwidth and enable a reliable inflight wireless connection.

The CNX-900 Cabin Network Router is designed to offer enhanced security and better bandwidth optimization, enabling passengers to download large files, stream videos, link to a virtual private network, and connect more devices to the internet.

There have been more than 2,000 CNX-200 Cabin Network Router installations. The router provides all necessary cabin network functions with a power source and a web-based interface. A simple software upgrade, which will remove the end-of-life status of the system and provide the latest GoDirect Cabin Connectivity features, will be available via a service bulletin by the end of 2016.
