An IDAIR IFE and CMS solution was recently installed on an A340-300, a new aircraft platform for the company.
The integrated solution includes a customized graphical user interface offering control over IFE, lights, electrical shades, external cameras and a moving map system. Passenger control units include iPads.
The VIP area is equipped with a 42in HD monitor and an overhead audio system consisting of ceiling speakers, wall speakers and subwoofers. The audio solution can switch between 5.1 surround sound and 2.1 stereo sound modes.
Full HD AVOD is distributed wirelessly via a dedicated app to the VIP area and to passenger iPads, with more than 90 concurrent devices. A file server provides 1TB of media storage.
In other news, IDAIR Media was selected by a new head-of-state customer for their onboard content. A bespoke package was created and will be updated quarterly. It includes Hollywood, Arabic and French TV shows and movies in multiple languages. The customer’s aircraft features an IDAIR IFE system and graphical user interface.
