AMAC Aerospace recently installed Honeywell’s Jet Wave Ka-band antenna on a BBJ 737-800, enabling full connectivity on board. The company’s facility in Basel, Switzerland, has a series of Ka-band connectivity installations planned for the coming months.

In other news, AMAC announced it is to perform a cabin refurbishment and a partial cabin reconfiguration on a head-of-state ACJ319 at its Basel facility. AMAC will install a novel VIP bedroom in the aircraft. As well as the partial cabin reconfiguration, AMAC will replace all the current business-class seats. The project also involves a C4 check.

“We are very proud to have been awarded a project of this magnitude from a long-term customer,” said Eric Hoegen, director of completion sales and key account management at AMAC Aerospace Switzerland. “Our teams are really looking forward to this ACJ319 modification. Having been selected shows the customer’s appreciation for our engineering and workmanship quality that lead us over the last years to become the leading completion center for large VIP aircraft.”
