Audio optimisation feature launched by Alto Aviation

Alto Aviation has introduced a feature designed to provide the VIP audio treatment for a particular seat or section of the aircraft – Alto On-Demand Audio Optimization.

The selected seat is placed at the centre of the action at the press of a button or swipe on the Alto remote control app. The subwoofer bass can be focused digitally, for maximum impact.

The mid-high speakers are time-aligned and equalised individually to provide a sweet spot at the VIP’s ears. The speakers behind the VIP seat can provide the surround channels for surround-sound cinema immersion.

“Our new System Master Controller will be able to dynamically control the DSP in our amplifiers to set up custom EQ configurations on demand,” said Kevin Hayes, vice president of sales and marketing at Alto Aviation. “The sound profiles can reflect a VIP seat eccentric audio configuration setting, including surround sound and spatially balanced speakers. This approach will allow us to retroactively repurpose previous Alto audio systems with these new features, with minimal changes to the architecture.”

Alto noted its commitment to providing every seat in the aircraft with realistic and dynamic audio quality with smooth and powerful bass response.

The company designs and manufactures cabin audio and entertainment systems for all business aviation aircraft. It sells its products and solutions to OEM and retrofit companies. These IFE systems, CMS and public address systems are installed in corporate, private and VIP jets, as well as helicopters.

Alto also manufactures precision sheet metal and machined parts for multiple industries in addition to aerospace.
