French airline Amelia (a Regourd Aviation Group brand) has begun a trial of Moment’s Flymingo portable wireless IFE solution and digital platform, aiming to create a seamless digital experience.
Created in 1976, the Regourd Aviation Group is based in Paris and has strong French, European and African footprints. The group specialises in business, corporate and regional travel on 19-72-seat aircraft. It operates 19 aircraft in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, offering charter, scheduled flights and ACMI services.
Regourd Aviation created the Amelia brand in 2019, uniting its activities under one banner. Amelia conducts short-haul domestic flights between Paris and two other cities in France: Rodez and Clermont Ferrand.
Amelia decided to partner with Moment to provide its customers with an impressive digital journey aboard its fleet. The Flymingo solution enables passengers to access a wide range of content, including entertainment, news and flight information. The offering is tailor-made for Amelia’s clientele, who mainly include business passengers, and vacationers at the weekends.
With Amelia originally being a private aviation company, the goal was to create a premium experience. Thus the digital platform had to be user friendly and capable of personalisation according to passengers’ preferences.
The health crisis the world is facing today emphasises the importance of the contactless inflight experience. Moment’s digital interface is accessible via passengers’ own devices and grants access to all the information they previously would have had on paper.
