Alto Aviation launches Gulfstream audio and entertainment upgrade programs

Targeting the retrofit market, Alto Aviation has launched its 2016 Gulfstream cabin audio and entertainment upgrade programs.

The Gulfstream digital audio upgrade program was designed for G-IV (serial numbers 1464 or higher), G-V (serial numbers 635 or higher), G450 (serial numbers 4002 or higher) and G550 (serial numbers 5002 or higher) aircraft. To convert these to a full Alto audio system, Alto offers a direct-fit digital amp and direct-fit speakers. By implementing a new digital amp with EQ compensation, Alto can customize the sound system. The company says few or no wiring changes are needed.

Meanwhile, the Gulfstream-Bose replacement upgrade program is offered for G-IV (serial numbers 1209 -1405) and G-V (serial numbers 501-603) aircraft. The Bose systems in these cabins can be completely replaced, or customers can opt to replace only the mid-range/high enclosure, or only the subwoofer. Alto’s PSU mid-range/high enclosure is 100% compatible with the former Bose unit, meaning no PSU modifications are required. The Bose upgrade involves the installation of new wiring harnesses.
