Fractional ownership and leasing company Flexjet has opened a new private terminal at Farnborough Airport in the UK, featuring a full-size recreation of the company’s flagship Gulfstream G700 cabin, which is fitted with an LXI Cabin Collection interior including a private master bedroom suite.
The US$34m, 2,098m² terminal opened on 10 September 2026 and is the first of its kind for Flexjet in Europe. It is situated in a new ramp-side building, separate from Farnborough’s existing main terminal, and is hosted by Flexjet staff, providing ground-to-air private hospitality exclusively for Flexjet passengers before or after boarding one of the company’s fleet of more than 350 private jets and helicopters.
The terminal’s contemporary interior design was led by Carver Hain Art + Design. Alongside the Flexjet Gulfstream G700 Fuselage Lounge, the site includes an expanded Flexjet Red Label Academy, a finishing school-style training centre for Flexjet’s near-300 global cabin servers. Francesco Vanerio, VP of customer experience at Flexjet, discusses cabin server training at the Flexjet Red Label Academy in an article due to feature in the September/October 2026 edition of Business Jet Interiors International.
Other features of the terminal include the Owners Bar & Lounge, positioned centrally with floor-to-ceiling views of the airfield and a bar menu including signature cocktails. A sculpture titled Aero, by British Canadian artist David Spriggs, is on display in the lobby, depicting swirling cloud-like patterns representing wingtip vortices.

The terminal also has private meeting spaces for Flexjet owners and their guests, and a new tactical control centre and European headquarters for the company’s operations and support staff on the upper floor. Dedicated security screening and immigration are provided by Farnborough Airport.
Environmentally-focused features include 138 solar panels, forecast to generate approximately 37,848kWh per year, and a syphonic drainage system that collects and recycles rainwater for internal reuse.
The Farnborough terminal adds to Flexjet’s network of nine private terminals in the US, either established or under development. The company’s broader infrastructure includes operations, sales and maintenance facilities across more than 25 locations.
The terminal opening, two years after construction began, was marked by a ceremonial event for VIP guests and stakeholders, hosted by Flexjet chairman Kenn Ricci, who said: “This opening establishes one of the most significant branded luxury environments in private aviation and is a defining moment in Flexjet’s global expansion. It is our most ambitious infrastructure completion to date, beyond our North American headquarters.”
“A Flexjet flight is already an unrivalled experience, with world-class aircraft, truly artisan interiors and five-star cabin hospitality that raise the bar in our industry,” Ricci added. “But this remarkable facility is a testament to how aircraft ownership with Flexjet extends far beyond the cabin, unlocking a lifestyle defined by exceptional convenience, effortless access and enriching experiences the world over.”

The opening follows a series of collaborations with other luxury brands. In July 2025, Flexjet announced a US$800m investment from a consortium led by L. Catterton, an affiliate of LVMH. In July 2026, Flexjet became the official private aviation supplier of Formula 1.
Other collaborations were showcased at the opening event, with Marchesi Antinori and Château Cheval Blanc each providing wines for the terminal’s Flexjet Cellar offering, and partner Maybourne showcasing The Connaught’s cuisine and bringing its Connaught Bar Martini experience to the occasion.
Flexjet also recently opened a 3,530m² MRO hangar facility at Farnborough Airport, providing dedicated maintenance for its global fleet and adding to a maintenance team of more than 1,500 staff across 15 locations worldwide.
Ricci continued: “From our growing network of Flexjet exclusive private terminals to our in-house maintenance capabilities, to private helicopters, curated events, the FXLUXE travel programme and exclusive partnerships, the Flexjet experience – and the dedicated ecosystem that we are investing in to support it – continues to push the boundaries in luxury experiences today.”
