F/List’s vinyl flooring scoops design accolade

Austrian manufacturer F/List has won a German Design Award for its Vinyl Tile Flooring product for business jets. The product won the Excellent Product Design – Conceptional Transportation category.

The German Design Awards are awarded by the German Design Council, which aims to discover, present and honour unique trends in design. F/List also won a German Design Award in 2018 with its Wood Flooring product.

Vinyl Tile Flooring is designed to combine the advantages of well-tested aircraft vinyl flooring with F/List’s tiling concept. The company says it is easy to install and offers design possibilities that are not possible with conventional vinyl flooring sold by the yard – including custom tiling patterns and the combination of different prints.

F/List is also known for its stone products, including its Heated Stone Flooring and ultra-thin real stone veneer for tables and countertops.

The German Design Awards process begins with a panel of experts nominating products and projects that are distinguished by their design quality. The winners are then selected during a two-day meeting. Since they were launched in 2012, the German Design Awards have grown from receiving 1,500 entries to more than 5,000. The awards ceremony will be held on 7 February 2020 in Frankfurt, Germany.
