In 2017, Alto Aviation marks its 20th anniversary as a supplier of custom cabin audio and entertainment systems for all aircraft platforms in business aviation. Alto Aviation was founded in 1997 in Massachusetts, USA. The dream of founders Don Hamilton and Steve Scarlata (pictured) was to wow each customer by providing the most powerful listening experience available at 40,000ft.
Over the past 20 years, Alto’s acoustical engineering team has delivered several new audio systems scalable to all aircraft sizes and helicopters, including the signature Alto nVelop digital surround sound system, an audio system designed to mitigate the harsh environment of the cabin while providing crystal-clear surround sound to every seat.
Today, Alto Aviation supplies a full line of loudspeakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, passenger controls and page/chime systems, with a focus on retrofit-friendly installations. The company’s systems are designed, engineered and manufactured in the USA and distributed worldwide.
