Work has started on the first service – on a Global 6000 – at Bombardier’s new hangar at London Biggin Hill Airport in the UK. Bombardier has doubled its capacity at the site by adding the hangar and more than 70 technicians. Bombardier’s head count at the site should rise to 115 by mid-2018.

“London Biggin Hill Airport is pleased to be able to facilitate this important expansion for Bombardier,” said Robert Walters, business development director at London Biggin Hill. “It’s great to see more jobs being created at London Biggin Hill through Bombardier’s reinforced commitment to the airport and we look forward to supporting its continued success going forward.”

London Biggin Hill Airport is 12 miles from the center of London. It is dedicated to business aviation – offering handling, FBO, hangarage, support and maintenance. The airport is a UK port of entry and has no runway slot constraints.
