RUAG combines G550 maintenance with repaint

A G550 has been redelivered on time by RUAG Aviation following a 15-month and 30-month heavy maintenance inspection carried out in Munich, Germany, at the behest of Sky-Tech Maintenance Service.

“The full selection of one-stop shop solutions available at RUAG allowed us to cater to our G550 customer’s individual needs,” said Victor Soria Sainz, manager, Sky-Tech Maintenance Service. “Over the years, on previous aircraft projects, RUAG has consistently proven to be a reliable partner for heavy maintenance events and on-schedule aircraft availability.”

The work entailed a five-week downtime, during which the aircraft’s exterior was also completely repainted in RUAG’s aircraft painting shop, and line maintenance was performed on the Rolls-Royce engines. RUAG shared its G550 knowledge with Sky-Tech, enabling on-the-job training for its engineering technician.
