AMAC Aerospace has revealed details of various recently completed projects, including a 12-year inspection on a privately owned B737-700IGW at AMAC Aerospace Turkey’s site in Bodrum; a project that also involved a partial cabin refurbishment and modifications.
AMAC Aerospace Turkey redelivered the aircraft at the end of September. The entire cabin had to be removed for the check, then reinstalled. The scope of work also included a full dry area inspection and necessary structural repairs.
The cabin was partially refurbished and six modifications were performed, including the installation of a non-textile floor and structural items. AMAC Aerospace Bodrum collaborated with its sister company JCB Aero on the carpet replacement. It was ordered from JCB Aero and they sent a team to Bodrum for the installation. Lastly, the auxiliary centre tank was removed, inspected and reinstalled. The customer plans to return for their next maintenance and modifications.
Dassault Falcon projects
In other news, AMAC Aerospace Turkey’s facility in Istanbul completed several out-of-phase airframe, component and engine tasks on a Dassault Falcon 900DX. Due to the aircraft having accumulated more flight hours than expected, the operator chose to increase the scope of maintenance and added more tasks to the package. To minimise the ground time, AMAC Aerospace Turkey ordered parts and started working on the additional tasks immediately. A CofA renewal was also performed during the input. The aircraft returned to service in mid-September.
Also at the Istanbul facility, AMAC Aerospace Turkey recently completed a Dassault Falcon 2000EX EASy base maintenance project.
Gulfstream G550 PPI
Recently completed projects at AMAC Aerospace’s facility in Basel, Switzerland, include a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) for a Gulfstream G550, after which the registration was changed and the aircraft was transferred to a new owner.
Bombardier Global 6000 inspections
Also, at the end of August, AMAC Aerospace redelivered a Bombardier Global 6000 to a long-term customer following 15-month, 500-, 1,000- and 1,500-flight-hour inspections in Basel. The project was completed on time and on budget, and the aircraft was redelivered to the private owner.
