AMAC Aerospace has announced multiple recent projects, including a 6A inspection and the installation of Starlink on a head-of-state Boeing B747. The maintenance was completed at the beginning of October, after which the aircraft returned to service.

Other projects completed in October include a 6-month inspection on an A320, and an A1 and 3A check on an A319, both at AMAC Aerospace’s site in Basel, Switzerland.

In December the company also announced that following initial certification in 2019 and a renewal in 2022, the Basel facility was again awarded ISO 45001 certification. ISO 45001 is an international standard that outlines requirements for occupational health and safety (OH&S) management systems.

At AMAC Aerospace Turkey’s site in Istanbul, Turkey, recent projects include a 2-month inspection on a Dassault Falcon 2000EX EASy; maintenance on several Dassault Falcon 8X and 7X aircraft; line maintenance on a Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy; and maintenance on three Dassault Falcon 7X aircraft that were redelivered at the beginning of October.

Recent projects completed at AMAC Aerospace Turkey’s site in Bodrum, Turkey, include a 12-year inspection on a B737NG for a long-term commercial customer; and a 12-year inspection for an A320-200. The scope of work on the A320-200 – the sixth successfully completed redelivery under this ongoing project – included tail jack repair, cabin reconfiguration and removal and the installation of an engine. Modifications to the galley and lavatory were completed, along with the removal and installation of the elevator, thrust reverser and cargo compartment. Bleed stage repair, part of the engine’s pneumatic system and high-pressure compressor section, was carried out and certified by the OEM.

At JCB Aero, recent projects have included a 6-month inspection and due maintenance tasks on an A318 in mid-November; an A check on an A320 that involved rectifying some corrosion, interior cleaning and paint and leather touch-ups; and at the end of September, a 6- and 12-month inspection and cabin refurbishment for an A319. On the latter aircraft, the carpet was replaced and a divan was refurbished in collaboration with AMAC Aerospace Basel. During the inspection, JCB Aero’s team found corrosion on the engine intake and rectified the issue. The team also replaced the landing gear and the main and emergency light power supply batteries. Due to their flight schedule, the customer requested a shorter ground time and JCB Aero delivered the aircraft one day ahead of schedule.
