Jet Aviation Basel has been appointed by Honeywell to establish an APU (auxiliary power unit) overhaul facility in the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) by Q4 2015.

With heavy maintenance approval for business and general aviation operators, Jet Aviation Basel will be authorized to disassemble, clean, overhaul, and modify Honeywell’s auxiliary power units (APUs) for the 36- 100/150 product family. Honeywell APUs are currently used in thousands of aircraft around the world to start main engines and provide bleed air and electrical power capacity.

Honeywell’s APU products are prevalent in the EMEA market and so the company selected Jet Aviation as a maintenance partner for its ability to provide a high caliber of service for operators across the region. Both companies have a long-standing business relationship that ensures the highest levels of service and support for customers.

“Honeywell enjoys an excellent reputation for its best-in-world products, which we’ve experienced first-hand,” said Johannes Turzer, vice president and general manager of the Jet Aviation Basel maintenance center. “We are honored to be distinguished by Honeywell for our high standards and look forward to extending our maintenance support to business aircraft owners and operators utilizing Honeywell’s family of 36-100/150 APUs.”
