Flying Colours Corp’s team at St Louis, Missouri, has installed a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Advanced avionics suite on a Bombardier Challenger 300 for the first time. The company also performed a scheduled heavy maintenance check and integrated ADS-B Out on the privately owned aircraft.

“Our avionics team has completed many upgrades to existing systems, as well as installations of completely new systems,” said Kevin Kliethermes, director of sales at Flying Colours.

“We have upgraded avionics on more than 20 different aircraft in the last year, but this was the first time working with the Pro Line 21 Advanced package. Working with new products like this further strengthens our experience and knowledge, as we continue to broaden our avionics capabilities.”

The company has confirmed other contracts for this upgrade. “Our avionics business has dramatically increased in the last 18 months,” said Kliethermes. “With the NextGen mandates and the ever-increasing variety of flight deck options, we anticipate that this sector of our business will continue to expand.”
