West Star has opened an additional leased hangar space (19,200ft²), plus 7,000ft² of backshop support space as an expansion of its site in Chattanooga, Tennessee (CHA). The new space will be used as a dedicated Embraer support facility.

The hangar has been equipped with new LED lighting, fall protection and a completely re-modelled office and lounge space for the comfort of customers. Additionally, a fuel farm tank has been added along with dedicated support to the Embraer product line specifically.

“We are delighted to be able to offer this upgraded additional hangar and shop space, providing our team and customers with the much-needed area to service even more aircraft and specifically for our Embraer customers,” said Steve Goede, general manager (CHA). “As an authorised Embraer base maintenance facility, the new space is a welcome addition for our Embraer operators.”

West Star also recently started construction on additional hangar and office space to increase the total operational footprint to approximately 256,828ft² effectively, once completed in June 2023.
