AMAC Aerospace Turkey’s Bodrum facility has redelivered three Boeing 737 aircraft following maintenance. A VIP BBJ 737-900 completed a C check with cabin and fuel tank work; a BBJ 737 MAX underwent inspections and system updates; and a commercial 737-800’s C check revealed cracks needing additional avionics modification.
AMAC Aerospace Turkey’s facility in Bodrum has redelivered three Boeing 737 aircraft following separate maintenance inputs, including C checks and cabin work.
The first aircraft, a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) 737-900 belonging to a long-term customer of the AMAC Aerospace group, underwent a C check. Work included removal and installation of the cabin, galley, aft cargo compartment and auxiliary fuel tank, as well as fan blade removal, installation and lubrication, work on the forward dry area, and replacement of 42 oxygen generators.
The second aircraft, a BBJ 737 MAX, arrived for A1 and A2 inspections along with out-of-phase work. The scope covered removal and installation of VIP seats and divans, engine washing and a borescope inspection on one engine, along with updates to the flight management system (FMS) and enhanced ground proximity warning system (EGPWS) databases. AMAC Aerospace says its team worked additional hours to redeliver the aircraft in time for the customer’s scheduled flights.
The third aircraft, a commercial Boeing 737-800 belonging to another long-term customer, underwent a C check covering inspections of dry and wet areas, and removal and installation of the auxiliary power unit (APU), galley, lavatory, forward and aft cargo compartments, cabin ceiling and sidewalls. During the inspection, engineers found cracks on the vapour barrier and the upper hinge box of the galley door, which led to additional avionics modification work.
