Bombardier gave an update on the Global 8000 programme at NBAA-BACE, sharing that the manufacturing of major structural components for the first production jet is underway across Bombardier facilities in Saint-Laurent (Québec), Red Oak (Texas) and Querétaro (Mexico).
The Global 8000 is scheduled to enter service in the second half of 2025. Bombardier shared that the aircraft’s flight testing is fully on track.

The aircraft will feature a range of 8,000 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.94. It offers four living spaces and a separate crew rest area. The cabin will incorporate features introduced on the Global 7500 aircraft designed to improve passenger comfort, including an available Principal Suite with a full-size bed and a stand-up shower in the en-suite. Cabin technologies include entertainment control and connectivity, the nice Touch CMS and OLED touch dial and Bombardier’s l’Opéra directional audio sound system.
In anticipation of the planned entry-into-service of the Global 8000, an upgrade is currently available for purchase by existing Global 7500 clients through one of Bombardier’s aircraft service centres. Bombardier said that benefits of the upgrade will include improving the aircraft’s top speed, increasing its range and providing “exceptionally low” cabin altitudes.
