As the turbine engine service sales representative for Duncan Aviation's Pratt & Whitney Engine Program, Otte will focus on enhancing customer experiences and fostering growth

Duncan Aviation has appointed Bill Otte as the turbine engine service sales representative for its Pratt & Whitney Engine program.

In this role, Otte will lead the company’s Pratt & Whitney turbine engine sales and service efforts, focusing on enhancing customer experiences and fostering growth.

With 40 years of aviation experience as an A&P technician, director of maintenance, and most recently as Duncan Aviation’s regional manager for the East Central United States, Otte has a deep understanding of customer needs. His dedication to building relationships and delivering value to clients has driven Duncan Aviation’s success in the region for the past 14 years.

Duncan Aviation has embarked on a significant expansion of its turbine engine overhaul facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. This expansion follows an announcement designating the MRO as a Pratt & Whitney DOF (designated overhaul facility).

The DOF designation enables Duncan Aviation to conduct hot sections and overhauls on a range of P&WC turbofan engines, including the 530A, 535A, 535B, 535E, 545A, 545B, 545C, 305A, 305B, 306A, 306C, 307A, 307D, 308A, and 308C models. Hot section inspection services will be operational by the end of 2024, with full overhaul capabilities coming online in early 2026.

“In the next three to five years, Duncan Aviation’s Pratt & Whitney program will take off,” says Otte. “We’ll be there, and we’ll be ready.”

“Bill is prepared to hit the ground running thanks to his existing customer relationships, deep understanding of Duncan Aviation’s operations, and alignment with our company culture,” adds Troy Nail, Airframe service sales manager in Lincoln. “I am confident that Bill, along with our team, will establish Duncan Aviation as the industry leader for Pratt & Whitney engine models in the near future.”
