Gulfstream recently celebrated the entry into service of its first G280 jet registered in Morocco. The G280 received a type acceptance certificate in March 2015 from Morocco’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation, an approval based on the aircraft’s type certification from EASA in February 2013.

The G280 has a range of 3,600 nautical miles at Mach 0.80. Interior highlights include the Gulfstream-designed CMS and HD IFE systems, 19 windows and access to the baggage compartment from the cabin.

This G280’s delivery flight to Morocco included an opening-leg journey from Gulfstream’s completions facility in Dallas, Texas, USA, to Santa Maria Island in the Azores. The 3,572 nautical miles were covered in six hours and 59 minutes.

In addition to Morocco, the G280 is certified in Aruba, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Canada, the Cayman Islands, China, the Isle of Man, Israel, Mexico and the USA. The aircraft’s EASA type certification allows it to be registered in any EU country. More than 60 G280s are in operation worldwide.
