Switzerland-based Vertis Aviation has added a Bombardier Challenger 604 to its managed fleet. The aircraft was built in 2001, but its interior was refurbished recently. It features 11 seats and will be operated under the AOC of a Middle East operator out of Doha International Airport, Qatar. It has a range of 3,700 nautical miles.

“We are pleased with how our business is developing in the Middle East and delighted to be adding a new aircraft type – the popular Challenger 604 – to our managed fleet,” said Jeffrey Emmenis, partner at Vertis Aviation. “Since opening in Dubai, UAE, early last year we have continued to expand our client base in this region. The second locally based aircraft is part of our long-term strategy.”

Five year-old Vertis Aviation recently opened an office at Farnborough International Airport, UK, complementing its operational headquarters in Zug, Switzerland, and its sales offices in Dubai and Johannesburg, South Africa.

The company specializes in long-range business aircraft, and has a 14-aircraft fleet operating out of Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and Nassau, the Bahamas. Its managed fleet includes: four ACJ319s; a BBJ 1; Gulfstream G450, G550 and G650 types; a Boeing 727-VIP; Bombardier Global 6000, Bombardier Global XRS and Global Express; and a Dassault Falcon 7X.
