New tool for testing and optimizing Global Xpress

0

A new test and demonstration tool for Ka-band solutions – the Global Xpress Link Emulator (GLE) 1.0 – will be showcased by GateHouse Telecom at three Inmarsat conferences in 2017. The events are: the Inmarsat Asia-Pacific Conference in Singapore on March 21-23; the Inmarsat Americas Regional Conference in Miami, USA, on April 25-27; and the Inmarsat World Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, on November 6-8.

GateHouse Telecom provides embedded software within Inmarsat’s BGAN system. In fact, of the approximately 120,000 active Inmarsat BGAN terminals, around half have been activated using GateHouse’s licensed BGAN solutions IP.

The GLE enables customers and partners in the government, maritime, aviation and energy/enterprise markets to emulate, control and document a Ka-band connection on the bench, without using airtime or a terminal, so they can test and optimize their GX solutions. They can test multiple SSPCs and possible signal degradation scenarios, simulate traffic congestion and optimize for minimum airtime usage.
