Air Alsie – an aircraft charter, ambulance and management company headquartered in Denmark – has chosen Satcom Direct (SD) as its sole provider of connectivity services across its fleet. To start with, SD will provide voice and data services, as well as flight deck communication functionality. SD will also cater for Air Alsie’s planned connectivity solutions, including Inmarsat’s Ka-band Jet ConneX service.

Air Alsie is also upgrading its Falcon aircraft with SD’s Satcom Direct Router (SDR). SD says this will give increased functionality and control of cabin wi-fi networks, enable SD services including GlobalVT, which allows passengers to text and call on board using their own smart device.

Air Alsie’s fleet includes Hawker, Citation, ATR72-500, Gulfstream and Dassault types. “Our mixed fleet necessitates partnering with a company that can create and adapt its product range to fulfill our diverse connectivity requirements, from the smallest to the largest of our jets, worldwide,” said Tom Carstensen of Air Alsie.
