West Star Aviation earns NDI approval from Cessna

Cessna has approved West Star Aviation’s facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as an independent non-destructive inspection (NDI) facility.

It not only means that West Star can conduct non-destructive testing and inspections (NDT) on Cessna types, but also grants the company access to the documentation and standards/kits needed.

This approval is in addition to a wide variety of approvals and capabilities West Star currently has to service Cessna aircraft, which extend beyond being an authorized Citation jet service center for aircraft maintenance and warranty provider.

“We are proud of this approval as it continues our long-standing growth and support of maintenance on Cessna aircraft,” said Thomas Hilboldt, general manager, KCHA, at West Star Aviation.

“Being an independent NDI facility allows us to perform NDT services in-house at Chattanooga, which will help us potentially decrease downtime and cost for customers.”
